Touchpoints & Child Welfare

We also evaluated the impact of Touchpoints training on child welfare professionals and found that they:

  • Gained significant knowledge related to important developmental and relational constructs, principles, and application of strategies to support and enhance their work with children, families and colleagues. 
  • Retained this knowledge 6 months after the training and 6 months of reflective coaching.
  • In contrast, untrained child welfare professionals in the comparison group showed no gain in knowledge.
