Building relationships with families is one of the most important things that a provider can do to support both the child and their family. Yet, building collaborative, trusting relationships is not always easy. Research shows that using a strengths-based approach to family engagement supports the well-being of the family. In this 5-part workshop series, you will learn strategies that you can immediately apply to your work to further cultivate a strengths-based mindset in your work with families.
Specific topics for the five sessions include:
- Perspective-taking
- Using strengths-based attitudes
