In the spring of 2020, in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Brazelton Touchpoints Center (BTC) and Sesame Workshop came together to produce a webinar series that shared helpful online resources for families and providers to stay informed, engaged, and responsive to the needs of children and families during health emergencies and traumatic experiences.
More than 5,000 providers, parents, and family members participated in the series, which brought together early childhood experts from BTC and our partners Abriendo Puertas and the United Way Greater Houston Bright Beginnings Program and from Sesame Workshop. In three 60-minute conversations, we discussed how the pandemic and subsequent economic crises were changing all of our lives, and how families and providers can use Sesame Street videos, games, and other online assets so families can feel healthy, find comfort, and learn playfully at home!
