The Brazelton Touchpoints Center (BTC) is pleased to offer Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) and Continuing Medical Education (CMEs) through Boston Children’s Hospital’s Interprofessional Continuing Education Committee (IPCE).

In support of improving patient care, Boston Children’s Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.

We offer CEUs and CMEs for medical doctors, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, and psychologists who complete the following training courses, as specified:

For this course, we offer CEUs and CMEs for the following professionals:

Physicians

Boston Children’s Hospital designates this activity for a maximum of 20.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.

AAPA accepts AMA category 1 credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME.

Nurses 

Boston Children’s Hospital designates this activity for 20.25 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Psychologists

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This course has been approved for 20.25 continuing education credits.

Social Workers

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Boston Children’s Hospital is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Boston Children’s Hospital maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 20.25 ACE CE continuing education credits.

Newborn Behavioral Observations System (NBO) Training Program

For all full 11.5-hour NBO trainings — including the standard training, and trainings for professionals working with high-risk infants and infants with substance use disorder — we offer CEUs and CMEs for the following professionals:

Physicians

Boston Children’s Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.

This activity is designated for 11.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
