We encourage you to read the message below from our friends at ZERO TO THREE and watch Dr. Brazelton’s message in support of this effort to expand early learning, starting at birth.

When infants and toddlers get a strong start, our nation prospers. So let’s Rally4Babies and show that we’re a country that believes in giving everyone a fair shot at opportunity.

Unfortunately, too many young children fall behind even before they step into the pre-kindergarten classroom. And yet there’s a common sense solution: we can invest in high-quality early learning and child development services that begin at birth.

You can send a clear message to Congress and the Administration to support expanded investments in high-quality early learning opportunities for infants and toddlers.

Sign the petition and learn more about the July 8th Rally4Babies at http://www.rally4babies.org.

Without the chance to participate in high-quality early childhood development and learning programs, gaps can appear early, sometimes even before a child’s first birthday. Kids who start out disadvantaged often stay behind, leading to wide gaps in educational achievement based on income and other socio-economic factors.

Urge our elected leaders to ensure every baby, toddler, and young child is on the path to school readiness. Click here to sign your name.

Learning happens from the start, and so should our investments in children.

Sincerely,

Matthew Melmed
