Bio:

Anabella joined the Brazelton Touchpoints Center Research and Evaluation team in August 2023. In her past research experience, she was actively involved in developing culturally tailored behavioral health programs for LGBTQ+ women through Brown Medical School’s Weight and Diabetes Research Center. Anabella has also been an active advocate for child development resources in the greater Rhode Island area, both in her role as student support staff at local elementary schools and in her coursework, through which she advocated for youth mental health promotion in schools, particularly in marginalized communities. Anabella hopes to continue this focus on identity-based stigma and challenges faced by marginalized youth in her work at BTC. She is especially interested in working with community partners to promote culturally relevant mental health resource access on a global level.
