Bio:

Dr. Catherine Knowles-O’Brien is a developmental educator with extensive experience and expertise in the early childhood fields of early intervention (EI), early childhood growth, development, education (ECE), and parent, family, and community engagement (PFCE).

Catherine brings experience as both a program and building administrator in EI (IDEA) and public schools working closely with faculty, staff members, babies, toddlers, young children, and their families, and communities. She worked to develop systems of care (SoC) early intervention programs in her region to support mental and behavioral health for young children and their families.

Catherine has been with the Brazelton Touchpoints Center at Boston Children’s Hospital since 2015, as a resource developer and trainer at the National Center on Parent, Family and Community Engagement and as a BTC Staff Facilitator. She is committed to joining individuals and communities to learn about past and current experiences and stories, and other research, to guide changes in practice(s) that more fully support the lives of babies, toddlers, young children, and their families.
